Of the three girls who wore Louis Vuitton at the Met for the Costume Institute Gala 2009, Kerry Washington' outfit looked the best. She chose Look 1 from Louis Vuittons Fall / Winter 2009/2010 show and altered it a bit so that her boobs were covered. As a result, she looked wonderful. Not too costume-y.

Leighton Meester wore Look 35 from the Louis Vuitton Fall / Winter 2009 - 2010 collection. I like the dress, but  the leggings were a bit much. However her hair and make up were impeccable. 

And here's Madonna. Horrible. She looks fantastic for her age, but no 50+ should dress like this. Thigh high boots, NO! Super short dress, NO! Costume-y hat, NO!

The latest Louis Vuitton jewelry to be pre-released is their necklaces. Personally, I'm not a fan of luxury brand jewelry, because the metal and stones are usually cheap and you are only paying for the label. These necklaces are a bit bulky, but very interesting looking. They are pert of the Fall 2009 collection. I will have to see them on in person to know if I like the overall look.

This Spring, pink and grey were added to the Louis Vuitton Farandole jewelry collection. These chunky resin bangles with LV logos and Monogram flower motifs in colored resin and brass provides the finishing touch to a stylish look. Now, each Farandole piece now has five colors: Khaki, Ivory, Beige, Pink, and Grey. Coordinated with Louis Vuitton's Monogram Vernis leather goods, the Random Collection is a brightly colored set of jewelry that would bring a touch of summer color to any look. The collection consists of a bracelet and hairclip, both made from resin and features gold-finished brass studs. Each piece comes in two colors, Orange and Pink. Marc Jacobs Fall 2009 collection for Louis Vuitton was very similar to the spring collection, but a bit more subdued, possibly due to the worldwide economy. Luxury products have been hit hard. However, this collection is still signature Marc Jacobs - flirty, cheerful and super chic. This collection was a reminder of the late eighties—ruffled, ruched, and poufed. My favorite pieces from the collection, though, were classic Louis Vuitton. Those are pictured below.

I'm not crazy about this Spruce collection, nor was I crazy about the original grafitti collection. I think it dumbs down the classic looking handbags.  

The Louis Vuitton Spring 2009 collection was one of the most accessorized and out of all the impressive bags, shoes, and assorted baubles it was the earrings that caught our eyes. Now we are science fiction nuts so this just might be us but don't they remind you a little of a solar system model? Now this is a way to inspire scientific literacy among young women.
