The must haves for this Spring if you want to stay stylish. First we like big, bright earrings. This accessory looks best with upswept hair, like a ponytail or bun. The ones pictured are a great example, and you can find colorful, beaded earrings almost anywhere.

Spring Essentials - big, bold earrings

Another spring trend is acid wash jeans, but if your like me and can't stand acid wash, distressed jeans will work, as well.

The jumpsuit is in style full force. Get one.

The bondage or Bandaid dress. They are super figure flattering and act almost like a spankx dress.

The platform shoe is the final Spring must have trend. This is great for those of us who could use a little extra height.

The eighties are making a comeback on the Fall runway collections, and some aren't so good. Like the novelty sweater. But this season, it's feline animals, like lions and cats that are adorning sweaters and dresses. Those who are leading this trend are designers like Eley Kishimoto, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, Paul & Joe, Zero + Maria Cornejo and even Miuccia Prada got into the act at Miu Miu. Are you ready for this? Not me.

While I think the Fall 2009 trend of jeweled stocking looks pretty, I'm not sure they would be very comfortable. I think they would be itchy at best. At the Fall 2009 runway shows, there were jeweled stocking from every designer from Dior to Doo Ri. Hopefully these genius designers figured out a way to make these beautiful stockings comfortable.

The Outnet online outlet store has arrived! It has fabulous brands, from Chloe and Roberto Cavalli to my beloved Marc Jacobs. They essentially sell items from the previous season that didn't sell in stores, so they get them and sell them at discounted rates. Outnet is something like BlueFly, but the selection is purely luxury brands and the styles are last season only, not from years back.

Here are a few pieces offered at this fantastic store. These Miu Miu pailette pumps are 40% for $390.

The trends for accessories this Spring 2009 is au natural. We will see a lot of natural materials like wood, stone and shell, and organic gemstones, like amber. This may be a reaction to the recession, using less expensive, more 'down to earth' materials.

I came across this super cool dress at Browns. It's Beatrice Boyle for Browns Focus and it's a simple white cotton mini dress with a unique and eye catching image. With this dress for Browns Focus, Beatrice Boyle shows her trademark distorted images of flawless models and glossy adveritising campaigns. Only $87 at Browns fashion.

I love jewelry, and am willing to pay the big bucks for a coveted piece. But, luckily, I have never been duped into paying the big bucks for junk under an elite label. Some jewelry buying people have not been so fortunate. The high priced pieces of jewelry shown below are SOLD OUT at Net a Porter.

This piece, a Lanvin crystal cuff, is $1,390. It is colored glass on metal. OK, I was in the jewelry business for some time and can tell you with certainty, this piece is absolutely worthless. Literally, the accrued costs of all the pieces is less than $1. Yet many people have been duped into buying junk.

Dittos with this Lanvin necklace, glass and metal, $2,730.

This Marni stone necklace is $900. This is stone, ribbon and metal. Again, worthless. All components worth less than $1.

Erin Featherston, a new, up and coming fashion designer, creates airy frocks, fairytale designs and has lots of ruffles. Her creations are thought to be very feminine and soft. Among her credentials, Fetherston collaborated with Ellen von Unwerth on several projects and has teamed up with Target for their Go! International collection. She received honors from the UPS Delivers Fashion's Future Initiative and the Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation. In 2008, she was named a finalist for the Vogue/CFDA Fashion Fund.

I lover her designs. They are clean and light, a perfect look for warm summer months. Only drawback, her clothes are quite expensive.
