Spanx has a new clothing line called Haute Contour, and the pieces will feature their waist shrinking, bulge hiding fabric. Lace tops and skirts are now available with the Spanx built in so, if one were to ever undress from these pieces in front of someone it will not be evident that person was wearing the slimming undergarments.

Clearly I am a child of the eighties that I love off the shoulder tops. I think the one shoulder look is sexy cool, so obviously I love this Catherine Malandrino top. It has a crochet pattern and two ruffle layers on the scoop front neckline with ruffle sleeves, and the top tapers in at the waist. It 68% rayon, 32% nylon. Available at Net a Porter, $255

The jumpsuit is back! Personally, I'm glad, I love jumpsuits, especially the two below. They make an elegant, warm weather look.

Love this dress. It looks so fun and would be fabulous for a cocktail party. It's Luella, and showcases one of this seasons trends, the corset dress. I am so excited that Alexander McQueen has gotton on board with Target to design inexpensive clothes that almost anyone can access. He is one of my favorite designers, and Target is one of my all around favorite stores. When I want a cute beach bag and don't have alot of money, Target always has something cute. Marc Jacobs Fall 2009 collection for Louis Vuitton was very similar to the spring collection, but a bit more subdued, possibly due to the worldwide economy. Luxury products have been hit hard. However, this collection is still signature Marc Jacobs - flirty, cheerful and super chic. This collection was a reminder of the late eighties—ruffled, ruched, and poufed. My favorite pieces from the collection, though, were classic Louis Vuitton. Those are pictured below.

Craziness ensued at the Alexander McQueen Fall 2009 runway show. Not only were some people outraged at the theatrical clothing and accessories, but the props the models wore just added to the circus nature of the show. Hubcaps, umbrellas, and lamp shades were just some of the headwear on display.
